PFERD Standard Twist Knot Wire Wheel Brush 4-1/2" Dia. .020 Stainless Steel X-LOCK
Aggressive brush. Designed for heavy-duty brushing in metalwork such as descaling, derusting, deburring, cleaning of weld seams, removal of adhesive residues and spatter. With the BOSCH X-LOCK system for angle grinders, you can change discs quickly and comfortably. Instead of a round centre hole, the X-LOCK system features an X-shaped contour, which allows the disc to be fixed on the angle grinder in a form-fitting manner. This guarantees that different discs can be mounted securely and comfortably in the shortest possible time. The unique system meets the highest quality and safety standards and even withstands tough and challenging operating conditions.;X-LOCK from Bosch is the world's first quick-changing system for angle grinders: Position the tool in the X-LOCK holder, click it into place – and you're ready! It's never been so easy to change accessories on angle grinders. X-LOCK is creating a new standard which makes professionals’ lives easier and increases their productivity. Bosch Power Tools relies on strong partners like PFERD. PFERD has developed the principle for connecting the X-LOCK punched part with the bonded abrasive, flap discs and brushes and created the conditions to enable them to be produced industrially. In order to fulfill the requirements for brushing stainless steel (INOX), PFERD produces all stainless steel (INOX) brushes using 302 stainless steel wire. Practical experience gained from industrial use confirms that this wire quality achieves excellent corrosion resistance with optimum brush life. The wire found in stainless steel (INOX) brushes tends to become magnetic after cold working. All PFERD brush products with stainless steel wire (INOX) are color-coded blue in the Tool Manual. All of these brushes are recommended for use on all stainless steels (INOX), such as 316.;The reason for this is a change in the microstructure caused by deformation (e.g. during the wire drawing process). This does not have any impact on the quality and corrosion resistance of the INOX filament. The filament is still resistant to corrosion. Stainless steel wire (INOX) is temperature-resistant up to 850 °F.
